YOUNG PEOPLE’S MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING NETWORK

We are reaching out to you with an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people in our community in Oldham.

Centre of Wellbeing, Training & Culture (CWTC) is delighted with the request from Family Connect Team, Oldham Council to develop a Working Group Children and Young People Mental Health and Wellbeing Network, Oldham.

Children & Young People in Oldham are lacking support, drive and ambition in today’s society due to feeling pushed away and not accepted.

The mission of the Network is to promote the mental health and wellbeing of young people by fostering collaboration, advocacy, and support among stakeholders.

Purpose of the Network

This network aims to bring together individuals who are passionate about promoting mental health and supporting the wellbeing of children and young people, particularly young boys.

Our discussions so far is helping:

  • To create a platform for dialogue and collaboration among mental health professionals, educators, youth workers, community leaders, and young people themselves.
  • To raise awareness about mental health issues affecting young people and reduce stigma surrounding mental illness.
  • To provide resources, information, and support services aimed at improving the mental health and wellbeing of young people.
  • To empower young people to take an active role in shaping mental health services and policies that affect them.

We are requesting to establish a Working Group to develop the process of this network.

Your involvement will directly contribute to efforts aimed at improving mental health services, raising awareness, and reducing stigma surrounding mental illness among children and young people.
